Kindergarten Parent Orientation
January 25 at 7:00 p.m.
A joint Parent Orientation Night will be held for all Lower Dauphin families in the Lower Dauphin Middle School cafeteria. Sign up for registration times will be held from 6:45 - 7:00 p.m. The meeting is scheduled to begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. The evening is for parents; children should not attend. If you or someone you know has a child eligible for kindergarten, but did not receive a letter about orientation, please have them contact the school immediately. A child must be (5) years old before Sept. 1, 2018 to be eligible for kindergarten.
Registration dates for East Hanover are March 7 - 9.

Your child should have brought home a Mini-THON t-shirt order form. Forms and payment are due Friday, January 26. All proceeds from the t-shirt sale will be donated to Four Diamonds on behalf of our Mini-THON. If you did not receive a t-shirt order form and would like one, click here.

Family Snowball
Join the East Hanover Elementary PTO on Thursday, January 25 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium for an evening of fun, including a chili cook-off, entertainment by DJ Val and food &refreshments.
If you are interested in entering the chili contest or volunteering to bring a side or set-up/tear down, please sign up here by Monday, January 22: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d49a8af29a7fb6-chili. It will be decided on Monday, January 22 if there is enough participation to still hold the event, so please RSVP if you plan to attend.
Chili entrees should be brought in a crock pot that evening. There will be a vote and prizes at the end of the evening! We hope to see you there!

Register Now for Girls on the Run Spring Program
Girls on the Run is dedicated to providing the GOTR experience to all girls (grades 3-5), regardless of income. Each family is encouraged to contribute to the program fee based on income and/or at a level that they deem comfortable. Guidelines for a suggested contribution are provided in the registration process.
Online registration for Girls on the Run will be open through February 4. The season starts the week of February 12.
The registration fee includes: 10 weeks of lessons conducted by a minimum of two trained GOTR Coaches, a GOTR program t-shirt, registration for the season-ending 5k, GOTR water bottle & 5K finisher's medal. The fee also helps offset the cost of program expenses including curriculum, program materials and insurance.

We {still} Need YOU!
The PTO needs your help to put on several of the events we have on the spring calendar. Without volunteers and event chairs several events are at risk of being canceled.
In order to host these events, the PTO is currently looking to fill the following positions:
Talent Show Chair & Co-Chair: (Friday, March 2)
Responsibilities include: Choose a theme; schedules & holds rehearsals; organizes the "acts"; secures event-day volunteers; and oversees decorations.
Daddy-Daughter Dance Co-Chair(s): (Saturday, April 7)
Responsiblities include: Work with chair to recruit day-of event volunteers; coordinate theme, decorations, snacks and entertainment.
May Day Co-Chair(s): (Saturday, May 12)
Responsibilities include: Work with chair to organizes games and prizes; secures event-day volunteers and contacts any necessary vendors.

As Lower Dauphin School District makes efforts to be paperless, we want to make sure that families in our district are aware of services that may be beneficial to helping them access the internet at home. Lifeline is a government assistance program that offers discounts to qualified low-income customers.
